Nick S – I would not be surprised if tourism to Latin American increases in the coming years – particularly with the win of the 2016 Summer Olympics. Additionally, travel trends show that people are taking shorter vacations and staying closer to home – trading in Europe for Mexico, as well as looking to do just as much for half the price. Two variables that bode well for Latin American tourism.

It will be interesting to see if there's an increase in the number of travelers heading to Brazil in 2010. Will there be an increased interest because of the upcoming World Cup and Olympics? South America is already so cheap to visit. Seems to me like the South American tourism industry should be thriving in the next few years.
