Betsy Andres is a Senior Account Executive in Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide’s Public Affairs practice. Betsy brings a wide range of skills in political communications to Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR). Betsy has extensive experience in strategic messaging, managing media relations on the national and local level, organizing press conferences for outside groups and producing support materials.

In her current role at Ogilvy PR, Betsy works with LexisNexis’ Risk & Information Analytics Group identifying and developing story ideas based on key information technology trends. Betsy also works on the team supporting the American Chemistry Council (ACC) on its nationwide multi-million dollar integrated essential2 campaign. Other current clients include the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and Virgin America Airlines.

Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Betsy was actively involved in public affairs and political campaigns on Capitol Hill. Betsy has served in the communications offices of the National Republican Congressional Committee, the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Republican Conference where she directed a national and local broadcast booking operation for candidates and surrogates, developed messaging briefings and support materials for Members of Congress, and executed national media events. Additionally, Betsy has particular experience in crafting message on key national issues including tax policy, healthcare and international trade.

Betsy is a graduate of James Madison University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Art History.
