Elizabeth Tjaden is an account executive at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Chicago. She works on consumer accounts that include the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, ProChile, Panama Ministry of Tourism and Sam’s Club.

Her love for travel began with a trip to Spain in high school. Losing luggage, getting lost and missing flights only ignited the desire to explore more! She has been fortunate enough to visit many other countries since that first trip and continues to add new destinations to her “wish list” almost daily.

Elizabeth’s account work on the Brazil Ministry of Tourism recently included the planning and coordination of a media tour in New York City. Elizabeth helped to secure nine media appointments, including: Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine and Condé Nast Traveler. Her ongoing work with Brazil includes account support, media outreach and assisting in the coordination of media opportunities such as recent travel segments on the “Today Show” and “The CBS Early Show.”

She also works on ProChile account where Elizabeth planned two influencer events featuring Chilean gastronomy in Miami. She secured nine media appointments at the event, including: Miami Herald, Ocean Drive and El Nuevo Herald. Placements for ProChile included stories in the Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald and Miami New Times.

While working on the Panama Tourism account, Elizabeth coordinated media relations efforts for the Aspen Food and Wine Festival, securing media appointments with the “Today Show” and Food & Wine.

A December 2006 graduate from Creighton University, Elizabeth graduated with a bachelor of arts in English and a minor in business. Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Elizabeth gained valuable experience as a journalism news intern at the Omaha World Herald where she learned the inner workings of the newsroom and essential writing skills.
