Jim Heininger has been building and safeguarding some of the most respected brands for more than 25 years. He is an expert at corporate and product brand marketing, reputation building, internal engagement of employees and issues/crisis management.

His clients have included such blue chip companies as McDonald’s, General Mills, Miller Brewing Company, Anheuser-Busch, Kraft, Quaker, Wendy’s and Motorola. Serving as global account leader for both Procter & Gamble and Lions Clubs International, Jim traveled the world organizing PR efforts at the global and local level.

Jim knows the road in the travel and tourism business from his many years of work for mapmaker Rand McNally. His program behind the 10-year-boy who placed his grandparent’s town in the #1 Road Atlas map received the highest honor in public relations creativity. Add to that the launch of airlines, promotion of country destinations and drawing visitors to theme parks, Jim now helps oversee Ogilvy PR’s Travel and Economic Development specialty.

He has led efforts at four of the most respected public relations agencies in the industry: Fleishman-Hillard, Ketchum and Porter Novelli, where he ran the Chicago office for three years. Before joining Ogilvy, Jim served as a management and communications consultant for McDonald’s Corporation addressing nutrition issues that have badgered the brand for years.

Jim graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is the parent of three teenagers and coordinates the family’s annual road trip to visit a different US National Park.
